This will be hosted in our large greenhouse located in the nursery- off of Armstrong Avenue. Please use GPS for the address: 600 N. 18th St. Colorado Springs, CO 80904.

If you have conifers like lodgepole pine, limber pine, pinyon pine, ponderosa pine, bristlecone pines or Douglas fir in your care, you might find this afternoon class helpful in their preventative pest care. The spring awakens our senses, dormant trees, but also pests such as the pine bark beetle and the seeds of the parasitic plant, dwarf mistletoe. Both of these pests do severe damage on the Colorado forests at large, but can also infect private land or even urban trees.

Steve, who has been with Rick’s Garden Center for over 20 years will be sharing his immense passion for trees and shrubs and their care in this class. He will also be sharing preventative care alongside initial signs of infection and care post infection. Trees are an investment in your property value, and the Earth. This class will help you protect that investment!

Customers will walk away with a coupon for 50% off Rick’s Organic Garden Fertilizer. This gentle fertilizer is excellent for feeding trees and shrubs, perennials, and vegetables.
