Serving the Westside and the greater Colorado Springs community for over 75 years, Rick’s Garden Center is proud to be your reliable source for knowledge, quality plants and products. Rick’s Garden Center has a rich history, starting in 1948, with owners Jackie and Rick Richners. The garden center started off with a strong tree farm and evolved over time to fit the needs of customers. Gail and Mike Estes were also long-time owners, continuing to build Rick’s Garden Center into a cornerstone of the community. In 2018, Jeana and Dan Hopper became the newest owners of Rick’s. They carry on the garden center’s legacy with fresh ideas and pursue excellence alongside knowledgeable staff.
The vast majority of our nursery highlights plants that are native to the area or resilient to the difficult growing conditions of the Colorado foothills. We also carry several Colorado-Proud products and rely on growers in the region for our high quality product line. We are a small independent garden center who strives to also support other local businesses!
You will find unique houseplants year-round, a vast array of tomato plants in the summer, reliable grass seed for the region, treats and seeds for the birds, food source plants for those important pollinators, as well as elegant fountains for your garden oasis. We also aim to carry unique or niche items. We know you will find something at Rick’s!
While we believe in Sasquatch, we also believe in you and your green thumb! Our staff is sure to know how to advise you on pest issues, seed starting concerns, or helping you think big and guide you to the right tree for the corner of your yard.
